Renters in privately owned market buildings are feeling vulnerable to steep rent hikes these days. Already hundreds of rental apartments have been rennovated and the rent has gone up dramatically. Learn about tenants rights, eviction prevention and landlord obligations. LAMP and LAHAAG are offering a new Affordable Housing workshop series on tenants rights, eviction prevention and how to get subsidized housing and other supports and ideas to battle the affordable housing crisis in Toronto. One of the important workshops we are offering on Subsidized Housing in Toronto is coming up Tuesday April 12 at 7 pm . Information shared will include how to get on the list and stay on the list, and portable subsidies. Other interesting workshops coming up: Land trusts a new way to get affordable housing built in your community and another one on new forms of co op housing.
