Child Passenger Safety Week takes place each year with an aim to generate awareness about child passenger safety in our communities. This year’s theme, “The Right Seat, The Right Size, Every Ride”, focuses on the basics of keeping children of all ages safe when riding in the family vehicle.

Here are 4 simple ways to help you increase child passenger safety and injury prevention when riding with a child in a motor vehicle:

  1. Always make sure your child is safely buckled on every ride in a car, truck, SUV or van.
  2. Make sure your seat meets Canadian standards for safety; look for the National Safety Mark.
  3. Make sure that you are using the right stage of seat for your child’s height, weight, fit and development.
  4. Don’t rush your child into the next stage before they are ready.

Our Community Needs Your Support

Every little bit helps. You may not think you make much of a difference, but in the words of those who use LAMP CHC’s services:

"Everyday we come to LAMP CHC, life gets a little easier to get back on track. We would have just given up if it wasn’t for them."
