Did you know that half the people who live in Toronto are renters? In the private rental market affordable housing is almost impossible to find these days. Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing, 30 percent of your income is the best choice for families and those on a low income. Find out more about how to get onto the City of Toronto’s rent-geared to income list by joining this very informative online workshop. Learn how to apply, the documents you need, and more about the process. Also join us on National Housing Day at LAMP Wednesday November 20 at 6 pm. Be part of the solution. Join us and stand up for affordable housing with rents that people can afford. The housing cirisis is at a tipping point and it’s now or never to push decisionmakers into action: to accelerate funding into co-operative, non-profit and social supportive housing to remove the affordability crisis stress from families, individuals, people who have to work several jobs to pay the bills, essential workers and others who need support.
You can make a difference just by showing up and taking part in solutions and progress being made in South Etobicoke on this issue.
Be part of the solution and share your ideas, thoughts and comments.
Mark Wednesday November 20 in your calendar 6 pm and boost our efforts in advocacy and collaborative community action.
