About International Overdose Awareness Day

Please be informed that August 31, 2019 is ‘International Overdose Awareness Day’.

International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held on 31 August each year and aims to raise awareness on drug overdose deaths and reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths.

LAMP CHC is also going to acknowledge and participate on the day with activities planned during our Harm Reduction Drop In at 8.00 am to 12 pm.

In recognition of the day, we are going to provide Naloxone (an opioid antagonist that can reverse an opioid overdose) training for those interested. We are also going to celebrate the day by hosting a BBQ. Folks will also be able to write messages of hope to acknowledge and pay homage to those we have lost.

Please join us in raising awareness on this important day!

All are Welcome!

Our Community Needs Your Support

Every little bit helps. You may not think you make much of a difference, but in the words of those who use LAMP CHC’s services:

"Everyday we come to LAMP CHC, life gets a little easier to get back on track. We would have just given up if it wasn’t for them."
