All ASK! Community Information services have no eligibility criteria and are open to all community members, except for tax filing and newcomer settlement services. Please see the eligibility requirements below for our tax filing and newcomer settlement services.

Tax Filing

Services are provided to individuals and families residing in South/Central Etobicoke who are are unable to complete their own returns and who are on a low/fixed income. View the income level requirements below.

– Single person: Total annual income of $35,000 or less.
– Couples: Total combined annual income of $45,000 or less.
– One adult with child: Total annual income of $37,500 or less.
– Each additional dependent: Add $2,500 to above.
– Interest income: Less than $1,000.

*Basic returns only (no business, self-employed or deceased returns – or returns that have rental income, capital gains, etc.)

Immigrant Settlement Services for Newcomers

These services are provided to permanent residents, Convention Refugees (completed hearing with a positive decision), skilled workers, and live-in caregivers. We also serve newcomers approved for the CUAET (Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel) program for Ukrainians and family members of Ukrainians.
