As a learning and teaching organization, LAMP is committed to providing enriched placement opportunities for students looking for field placements, particularly those from equity-seeking groups. Students are recognized as a valued and important part of helping to further LAMP’s strategic directions.

We accept a limited number of college and university students who express an interest in working with LAMP to improve their quality of life by supporting people to reach their full potential and promoting our community’s physical, emotional, social, and economic well-being.

Due to the high volume of requests we receive for student placements and the limited number of LAMP staff available to supervise students, we regret that we cannot find placements for everyone who applies. Finding a placement with us depends on whether your skills and learning requirements are a good fit with the staff available for supervising student placements.

How to Apply
To be considered for a student placement, candidates must submit a complete application.

Please complete the form Student Placement Application and send your résumé and a cover letter to volunteering@lampchc.org. Be sure to include the following:

  • the names of the programs at LAMP sites where you are interested in completing a student placement
  • if your school/program requires any specific academic or professional credentials of the student placement supervisor
  • and, information about the structure of your student placement (when the placement is to occur, days of the week, number of hours required, etc.)

After we receive the above information, a program supervisor at LAMP will contact you directly for an interview if we have a possible placement available for you.

Please note some additional information about a few of the student placement opportunities that may be available below:
