The LAMP Occupational Health Centre is a specialized service conducting health assessments for work-related health problems, assistance with Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claims and occupational health educational information. Our physician specialists do not offer ongoing health care for non-workplace related health problems. Your visit is a no-fee service funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
Occupational Health accepts referrals from workers, health care providers, unions and legal representatives throughout the province of Ontario. We are a site for the Ontario Telemedicine Network and, when appropriate, arrangements can be made for assessments to be done in your community using this technology.

Telemedicine Program
Telemedicine uses videoconferencing and other electronic equipment to connect you with a specialist or service in Ontario. Providing a service to you in your own community reduces the time, cost and stress associated with travelling to an appointment.
Telemedicine is provided by the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) which is an independent, not for profit organization, funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Most hospitals, community health centres and family health teams have access to telemedicine. All visits are covered by OHIP.
The Telemedicine Studio at LAMP is located in the Occupational Health Program. LAMP has participated in providing clinical telemedicine events for specialties including: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Hematology, Mental Health (Psychiatry, Addictions), Neurology, Occupational Health, Primary Care and Rheumatology. Telemedicine is also used to provide continuing education for staff, volunteers and students as well as administrative meetings between sites.
