FMTA Tenant’s Workshop

“Come join Lakeshore Affordable Housing Advocacy and Action Group and The Federation of Metro Tenants’ Associations event to meet local tenants and learn about how to join and form tenant associations. Tenant associations work to develop leadership and resources to improve power balance for tenants when dealing with landlords. Please see the attached poster for more information.

Tenant organizations can work together to improve their situation and advocate for their rights around rent increases, repairs and evictions by sharing resources, knowledge, experiences and ideas with fellow tenants. Residents of a building have the legal right to organize as a group of tenants. The meeting will be held on April 17th, 2019 at 6:45 pm at LAMP Community Health Center in the Community Room at 185 Fifth Street.”
